Appointments & Fees
Appointments
Standard consultations are 50 minutes and may involve individual child, parent-child or family sessions. I encourage parent involvement in sessions for at least part of each session, wherever appropriate. I will discuss with you and your child what you are both most comfortable with and structure sessions accordingly.

Fees
A 50-minute clinical psychological consultation is $195 ($170 for pension cardholders). This fee is reduced to $63.35 ($38.35 for pension cardholders) after the Medicare rebate of $131.65 is applied with a current GP or specialist referral with Mental Health Care Plan.
The Medicare EasyClaim system is available onsite to directly deposit the Medicare rebate into your savings or cheque account at the time of payment.
Please be aware that all accounts are to be paid in full on the day of the consultation.
Fees are kept significantly below the $280 recommended fee published by the Australian Psychological Society (more information is available here).
Formal report writing, if required, will incur additional charges (not covered by Medicare).
Cognitive Assessments will require 4 hours of consultation (charged at the usual consultation rate of $195/hour), in addition to the preparation of a comprehensive report costing an additional $520+GST (not covered under Medicare). Assessments require an initial session, a 1.5-2 hour assessment session, and a feedback session.
Cancellation Policy
A cancellation fee of $50 applies to appointments that are unattended or cancelled/rescheduled within 24 hours of the appointment time.
Medicare Rebates
A Medicare rebate of $131.65 per session is available to Australian's with a diagnosis of a specific mental health disorder under the Better Access to Mental Health Care initiative. The Medicare rebate is available for up to 10 sessions within a calendar year. A General Practitioner, Paediatrician or Psychiatrist can provide you with a qualifying referral.
Helping Children with Autism (HCWA) or plan-managed NDIS funding may be applicable.
Further information is available on the AMAZE and NDIS websites.
Private Health Funds
Private Health Fund rebates for psychological services are provided by most health funds under their ancillary/extra tables. These rebates differ depending on your health fund and your level of cover. Please check with your health fund for details about your level of cover. Please note, Private Health Fund rebates can not be used for Medicare rebated sessions.
