Appointments & Fees
Appointments
Standard consultations are approximately 50 minutes and may involve individual child, parent-child or family sessions. I encourage parent involvement for at least part of each session, wherever appropriate. I will discuss with you and your child what you are both most comfortable with and structure sessions accordingly.
I currently offer face-to-face and telehealth (online) appointments on a Tuesday and Saturday.
To book an appointment please contact me.
Fees
All accounts are to be paid in full on the day of the consultation. The Medicare EasyClaim system is available onsite to directly deposit the Medicare rebate into your savings or cheque account at the time of payment.
A 50-minute clinical psychological consultation is $205 ($180 for pension cardholders). This fee is reduced to $68.65 ($43.65 for pension cardholders) after the Medicare rebate of $136.35 is applied with a current GP referral with a Mental Health Care Plan.
Formal report writing, if required, will incur additional charges (not covered by Medicare).
Cognitive Assessments will require a minimum of 3-4 hours of consultation (charged at the usual consultation rate of $205/hour), in addition to the preparation of a comprehensive report costing an additional $550+GST (not covered under Medicare). Most assessments require an initial information gathering session, a 1-2 hour assessment session, and a feedback session.
Cancellation Policy
A cancellation fee of $50 applies to appointments that are unattended or cancelled/rescheduled within 24 hours of the appointment time. Medicare and Private Health insurance does not cover cancellation fees. If unable to attend an appointment, please provide as much notice as possible so that the appointment can be offered to someone else.
If you or your child are unwell on the day of your appointment, please request a telehealth consultation.
Medicare Rebates
A Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) written by a GP, Paediatrician or Psychiatrist allow individuals who are diagnosed with a mental health condition to access a Medicare rebate of $136.35 per session for 10 individual psychology sessions per calendar year.
Helping Children with Autism (HCWA) or plan-managed NDIS funding may be applicable.
Further information is available on the AMAZE and NDIS websites.
Private Health Funds
Private Health Fund rebates for psychological services are provided by most health funds under their ancillary/extra tables. Your level of private health cover will determine your eligibility for a rebate. Please contact your health fund directly to determine your cover. Please note, Private Health Fund rebates can not be used for Medicare rebated sessions.
